I'm bummed that I've been so busy because that means there is little time for baseball. When I can't watch the games, it gives me anxiety.
On Thursday,
I had back to back meetings, so I didn't get to watch or listen to the game much. I did follow along
on the MLB app while I was in training, so you can't say I didn't try
;)
Quick tidbits from Game 16
- I'm sure you're aware of this, but let's start from the beginning: the Giants lost 2-1 versus the Dodgers, but secured the series win with their victory the day before.
- Pablo Sandoval's batting average continues to plummet.
- "Trader" (lol, Twitter folks that can't spell) Brian Wilson came in to pitch in the 8th inning. I heard the loud boos on the radio broadcast. Ehire Adrianza doubled to lead off the inning and then Hunter Pence walked. Unfortunately, Wilson got Sandoval and Buster Posey out to end the threat.
- This was the 7th consecutive one-run game the Giants have played in.
- Madison Bumgarner only lasted 4 1/3 innings due to high pitch count.
- Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched so well against the cold Giants bats and shut them down until he exited the game.
- The lone run the Giants scored was in the 9th inning. Michael Morse struck out, but reached base due to Kenley Jansen's wild pitch. Brandon Belt grounded into a force out and later advanced to 2nd on defensive interference. Hector Sanchez struck out, followed by a walk from Gregor Blanco. Adrianza singled to left, scoring Belt. He was 3 for 3 after coming in to replace Brandon Hicks. The rally was on and I was excited for the possibility of our boys tying it up, but then Brandon Crawford struck out to end the game.
Friday night, I was busy making penis shaped cakes and blowing up penis shaped balloons. No, I'm not a weirdo (well, actually I am, but let's not get into that)...it was for a bachelorette party. By the time the game started, I was seated at Mas Sake in San Francisco with five of my girlfriends drinking many, many sake bombs. But of course, the TV showing the game still had some of my attention.
Quick tidbits from Game 17
- This was the 8th consecutive one-run game for the Giants. Their record in these games is 4-4.
- The Giants have only scored two runs in the last 19 innings, and four runs in the last 26 innings. Pitiful.
- Angel Pagan led the game off with a ground rule double, but Blanco, Belt, and Sandoval were unable to get him home. In the Padres half of the 1st, Chris Denorfia tripled to center. With two outs and Jedd Gyorko at the plate, a passed ball by Hector Sanchez allowed Donorfia to score. I was so frustrated at this.
- Posey and Morse had the day off, but were both put in as pinch hitters in the 8th inning. Neither got a hit. The Padres' Yasmani Grandal, pinch hitting for Tyson Ross, hit a home run off Juan Gutierrez to bring the score to 2-0.
- Belt hit his 6th home run of the season against Huston Street in the 9th, cutting the lead to 2-1. Pence walked with two outs and then stole second base. Sanchez then ended the game with a silly strikeout.
- The Giants had three stolen bases in this game.
- Matt Cain pitched really well but got Cained by his teammates once again.
I'm hoping the rest of the San Diego series goes better and our guys get hot at the plate again. It's not just one player, it's so many of them. I'm most concerned about Sandoval though. He needs to find his groove...and quickly because I'm getting really frustrated with him. However, the Giants offense as a whole needs to get hot. Losing these one-run games sucks :(

SF Giants Game 14 - Jackie Robinson Day
First off, the Giants always do excellent pregame ceremonies. We are so lucky that our announcers, including Renel, do such a great job with baseball festivities. Hall of Famers Jon Miller and Vin Scully announcing the starting line-ups was so cool! I may despise the Dodgers, but Vin Scully deserves so much respect, even if he makes me a little sleepy :)
Seeing our players wearing 42 gives me a sense of pride for the game I love and obsess over. Most importantly, It's wonderful that Jackie Robinson is honored like this once a year throughout the MLB. His story will always be a highlight in the history of our beloved national pastime.
I was nervous for Timmy Lincecum and his hideous porn stache, but he has historically pitched well against the Dodgers, so I was hopeful that he would have a great start. I haven't been able to record my thoughts as I watch the game in a while, so this should be fun.
HERE WE GO...
- Lincecum started the game with a strike. Good omen! The only downside was that it took him 20 pitches to get out of the first. After giving up a home run to former Giant Juan Uribe in the 2nd, Timmy was already up to 38 pitches.
-Stupid bastard Josh Beckett hit Michael Morse in the elbow during his AB in the bottom of the 2nd. Beckett then threw the ball away on a pick-off attempt, allowing Morse and his long legs to saunter over to 3rd. Unfortunately, Brandon Crawford struck out and stranded Morse and his sore elbow at third base.
- Beckett, Dee Gordon, and Carl Crawford all struck out in the 3rd. Great inning by Lincecum. GRAB SOME PINE, MEAT! Times three.
- In the 4th, Timmy loaded the bases with Adrian Gonzalez, Yasshole Puig, and Andre Ethier with one out. I held my breath as he struck out Uribe and Tim Federowicz. Crisis averted.
- Unfortunately for the Giants, the same thing happened to them in their half of the 4th inning. Brandon Belt got the first hit of the game, Buster Posey was unintentionally walked, and Hunter Pence singled to load the bases. There was only one out, but Morse struck out and Crawford grounded out. Dodgers still leading 1-0 :(
- Beckett is one of the most annoying pitchers to watch. He's so fucking slow. It's painful.
- The Giants had another good chance in the 5th with the bases loaded (Brandon Hicks, Belt, and Sandoval were all walked) with two outs. Posey hit a shallow fly ball to center and yet again, more missed opportunities for our guys.
- With Beckett out of the game, the Giants finally tied it. Pence started the 6th off with a single and Morse reached on an error by Hanley Ramirez. Pence was safe on a close call at third following a wild pitch and BCraw sacrificed him in to tie it up.
Look at this gem after Pence hustled home.
- Javier Lopez came in to pitch in the 7th. Let's take a moment to enjoy him, shall we?
Unfortunately, he gave up an RBI single to put the Dodgers back in the lead. Stupid Uribe led off the inning with a double and scored when Justin Turner got a hit off Lopez. That is two games in a row now that Lopez has inherited a runner and gave up an RBI. Not happy about this.
- My patience with Sandoval dimishes with each game. I think I'd be a lot more supportive of him if his agent weren't such a dumb ass.
- I'm sick of repeating this, but the Giants wasted another great opportunity to score. In the 8th, Pence collected his 3rd hit of the game and then promptly stole second while Gregor Blanco was at bat. He eventually walked. BCraw struck out on a filthy pitch that made his swing look absolutely dreadful. Hicks then grounded into a pitiful double play. And just like that, the 1,000,000th runner was stranded by the Giants. Have fun in Fresno, dude! You and Jean Machi (Macheeeee) will have fun there. Please give us Hembree. Or Kontos. And a position player. Maybe Minicozzi?
- In the 9th, with my blood pressure rising, Hector Sanchez struck out. Angel Pagan singled, followed by a Belt double that scored the speedy Pagan to tie the game! Check out Pagan's helmet. I love that it flops around like that when he's racing home. Useless Sandoval struck out and the Dodgers intentionally walked Posey. Scared much? Unfortunately, that strategy worked and Pence flied out to Puig.That ended the ninth, bringing us to extras.
- Adrian Gonzalez hit a sharp liner and Hicks made a great defensive play, robbing him of a hit. I forgave Hicks about 10% for that double play earlier. Puig walked, but was left there whining as Andre Ethier popped out to BCraw. Note: Sergio Romo was hyped up facing the big boys, but he had a score free inning, and that's all we could hope for.
- In the Giants half of the 10th, Gregor Blanco slid into first on a close play at first base and was called out. Blanco did a double finger shake at the ump - NOT TODAY. Ha. I wish I found a good picture of the actual play, because it was epic.
Bruce Bochy challenged the call, and it was successfully overturned. It still makes me laugh thinking about how unsuccessful Jim Harbaugh is at challenges as the 49ers coach. Glad Boch doesn't have the same losing percentage as him. Anyway, BCraw singled, followed by a beautiful bunt from Hicks to move both runners over. Another 10% forgiven, Hicks! Sanchez walked to load the bases. What could possibly go wrong? The Dodgers put five infielders out on defense and that was interesting to see.
Pagan flied out to HanRam. My guess is that the Dodgers defense freaked him out. Belt also flied out, and another opportunity with the bases loaded and one out was wasted. How many batters left on base at this point? A GAJILLION.
- The Giants offensive woes had Boch and Giants fans everywhere doing a Bochy facepalm.
Santiago Casilla replaced Romo, and our former friend, now foe Uribe singled. The Giants were lucky when Dodgers catcher Federowicz laid down the worst bunt ever. I don't remember the last time I saw a bunt double play. I screamed pretty loud with happiness when that happened. Matt Kemp got a double, but Justin Turner grounded out and we fans rejoiced at the chance for another walk off.
- Useless Sandoval grounded out to start the bottom of the 11th. Joaquin Arias came in as a PH for Casilla. I was really hoping we'd see another awesome Casilla at bat, but alas, it didn't happen. I wish this could've happened again. Why so serious, Jairo?
Arias singled to center but unfortunately my baseball crush Pence grounded into a double play to send us to the 12th. Womp womp.
- Yusmeiro Petit came in to pitch the 12th, leaving Bochy with no bullpen and no reserves, just starting pitchers left. HanRam doubled and Gonzo was intentionally walked, but thankfully Petit got Puig to fly out. Worth mentioning that King of Douches thought he hit a three run home run, douched it up at the plate, and Pence caught the ball with MILES of room left. Wasn't even close. Puig also gave up on the ball and was barely out of the batters box. He didn't even fake run. What a dick. How do you root for that idiot? I hope he's benched again for his shitty attitude. Ethier grounded out and it was the Giants turn.
-Team Brandon gained another member as Brandon League came in to pitch for the Dodgers. Blanco flied out and then BCraw singled. Hicks' ground out moved BCraw to 2nd. A wild pitch sent him to third with two outs. Sanchez then singled past Turner's outstretched glove and BCraw scored to FINALLY end this nearly 5-hour long rollercoaster.
- Sanchez's post game interview was hilarious. He was hungry and wanted to go home because it was almost time to drop his daughter off at school ;) Gotta love the humor of our guys. The post game dog pile on Sanchez was so adorable and it was great to see our guys happy and celebrating. It was also officially April 16th, Bochy's birthday. They won for the skipper!
Other random observations:
- Former hottie and Giants closer Brian Wilson and his disgusting beard and hobo looks warmed up a couple times, but never got into the game. He was booed lustily by Giants fans, as expected.
- Jeremy Affeldt is close to coming back and while I like to talk shit about him, the bullpen needs him! Can't wait to welcome him back.
- Posey and Morse were taken out of the game and I missed them both in extras.
- The Giants left 16 runners on base. Pretty pathetic, but I think they'll fix that problem.
- The game that would never end lasted 4 hours, 54 minutes.
- Forgotten in all this is that Lincecum had a decent game and lasted five innings.
I'm going to pray that Ryan Vogelsong has a good start and lasts at least six innings. Pretty please? The bullpen is tired. Time to step up Vogey!
I was too excited to sleep, so I had to finish writing this before I went to bed. Long day at work in store for me in the morning, but it's worth it because our guys won.

SF Giants Game 8 - Opening Day
I haven't been to Opening Day at AT&T Park in years. YEARS. I was always able to get tickets to the first night game, but I either couldn't take the day off, couldn't afford tickets, or both for the official home opener. I thank the baseball gods, and my friends Denise and Ken for aligning the stars so that I could go for the first time in way too long.
I planned on getting to the yard around 11:30am. Figured that would give me time to do a lap, maybe meet up with some friends, and grab a drink and some lunch. I didn't get to the ballpark until 1:00pm. OOPS. One of these days, I'll just wake up earlier and stop giving myself anxiety and panic attacks rushing around. Funny side note: I tripped while running up the escalator at Pleasant Hill BART, and subsequently stubbed my toe and chipped my toe nail polish. I still missed my freaking train too. You can be damn sure that for the majority of the 40 minute ride to San Francisco, I stared at my chipped pedicure with a sad face. Unpolished toe nails are gross, by the way.
Being at back at AT&T is such a magical feeling. It even made me forget about all the idiots on BART and Muni that were also headed to the game, but didn't even know who was the starter, or worse, which team the Giants were playing. Are you fucking kidding me? GTFOH.
The calendar giveaway was awesome, but cumbersome to carry around. I made my way to our seats in the 300s and was seated (with two beers) in time for the player introductions, the singing of the national anthem, and best of all, I got to see BatKid's epic entrance, and unbelievably heart warming and amazing first pitch and adorable interactions with Matt Cain.
Another side note: How freaking hot was it in San Francisco yesterday?! I was uncomfortably hot and sweaty. Pretty sure I looked like one of those roasted pigs that they have at luaus in Hawaii. Gross. I realized when I got home that my chest was sunburned. That so rarely happens.
Anyway, in the bottom of the 1st, Angel Pagan walked and my friend Jeanne joined me at the seats. I gave her a hug and then said "Brandon Belt is going to hit a home run for us!" And then he promptly did. I'm so glad that Belt is having such a hot start to his season. He deserves it! Were you aware that he changed his grip though? (sarcasm)
How awesome is this picture though? Haha.
The D'Backs cut the lead in half when Mark Trumbo grounded out to Pablo Sandoval with Martin Prado scoring in the top of the 2nd. Five gallons of sweat later in the bottom of the 3rd, Pagan doubled and then saluted the adoring fans. He has been on fire! Belt singled, and was followed by a useless out from Sandoval.
Admittedly, I was buying a cheesteak at this point, but at least I was near a TV ;) Captain America...our ri-damn-diculously awesome Buster Posey singled and Pagan scored. Hunter Pence stole second (and my heart, almost two years ago) with Michael Morse batting. Shortly after, Morse singled to right, and both Belt and Pence scored, making it 5-1.
The D'Backs got a run back in the 4th, but that was it. Our surprisingly good offense knocked starting pitcher Trevor Cahill from the game in the bottom of the 4th. In the bottom of the 5th, Pence walked and then Morse hit a ground rule double to left. I'm thinking Morse is starting to like it at our beautiful ballpark. Brandon Crawford wanted in on the RBI fun, and singled to right, scoring Pence and Blanco, who came in to run for Morse.
I'm starting to love his swing.
The D'Backs got a pity run in the 8th, but never threatened the lead. All in all, it was a beautiful day at the AT&T Park...and the guys gave the sell out crowd a wonderful day to remember. It's worth mentioning that the Giants continue to lead the MLB in HRs and are 3rd in the NL in scoring. Our offense need to keep it up! Such a change from last year. Also, Belt and Trumbo are tied for the league lead in HRs.
Last, but certainly not least, Tim Hudson was amazing, beating the D'Backs again today. The home crowd welcomed him and he treated us to a strong eight inning performance. Plus, he has not walked a batter in both of his starts this season. He was a great pick up and I'm glad he's on our team.
I'm ready to do it again tonight. See you soon, Giants! Getting a Hunter Pence bobblehead will be the cherry on top of an already amazing evening to come. Happy Lincecum Day.

Last, but certainly not least, Tim Hudson was amazing, beating the D'Backs again today. The home crowd welcomed him and he treated us to a strong eight inning performance. Plus, he has not walked a batter in both of his starts this season. He was a great pick up and I'm glad he's on our team.
I'm ready to do it again tonight. See you soon, Giants! Getting a Hunter Pence bobblehead will be the cherry on top of an already amazing evening to come. Happy Lincecum Day.

SFGiants Games 6 & 7
Sup. I felt blogger's withdrawal yesterday since I didn't have time to recap the game. One of the things I love about baseball is the highs and lows. And because they play so much, it's generally easier to pull yourself out of your baseball depression. Clearly, I've wiped last season from my memory! (Not really.)
Recap of Saturday's game? Don't mind if I do...
- Celebrated my friend's birthday all day yesterday, so I was trying to be polite and be present, but I couldn't help myself so I turned the game on and talked about clothes, makeup, and gossip while keeping an eye on the game. Had a blast with my girl friends though!
- Madison Bumgarner pitched well and got his 50th career victory. He is 24 years old. I repeat, HE IS TWENTY FOUR YEARS OLD.
MadBum makes snot rockets sexy. Kinda.
- Bumgarner had a solid outing and struck out 10. I have a good feeling that he's going to have a kick ass year. Additionally, he always pitches well against the Dodgers. A definite plus.
- Michael Morse hit is first home run in a Giants uniform in the top of the 4th.

- The top of the 5th inning was awesome. Madbum started it off with a single, followed by another single from the red hot Angel Pagan. After Hunter Pence flied out, Pablo Sandoval hit a three run home run. Yay, Panda! Batting next, Buster Posey wanted a piece of the action too and followed that with a solo home run. Back-to-back, y'all!
- Admittedly, I was bouncing around on Union St. in San Francisco from the 6th inning on, but even as I had a late boozy lunch with the girls and then cupcakes and champagne for dessert, I discretely keep an eye on my phone until the game was over.
Today's game:
I spent the day in Oakland with my best friend and my favorite boys. I love them all so much despite the fact that they're A's fans. Hey, no one is perfect! We were talking so much shit to each other, it was hilarious. I was so riled up when they jokingly talked about Eric fucking Sogard being the Face of the MLB. Jerks. Ha.
Anyway, I walked into my condo right in time to see Matt Kemp's home run off Matt Cain. Lovely. I was even more annoyed in the bottom of the 4th inning when HanRam hit a solo home run, and then Kemp hit a two run home run. All off Cain. I hate seeing teams, especially the Dodgers, tee off on our Rally Horse.
I was pretty depressed because I really wanted to see our guys kick more Dodgers ass today. Side note: I HAD to watch the season premiere of Game of Thrones during the East Coast broadcast. I just had to. It's one of my favorite shows that I obsess over. I'm even going to do recaps of this season, just so I can geek out about it some more.
In the top of the 6th, Brandon Belt homered off of Zack Greinke to finally put the Giants on the board. Three batters later, a cleanly shaven Pence also hit a solo home run. I was so happy I changed the channel in time to see that. I love him. You probably were unaware of that...
Another side note, I'm still so pissed that I forgot to check my fantasy baseball lineups this morning before 10am. I'm so competitive that I hate that I left FOUR, yes FOUR, starting pitchers on my bench. Get it together, Saturday.
In the bottom of the 8th, HanRam went yard again, this time off David Huff. It's so gross that he and Kemp both had two home runs against our pitchers today. Yuck. Even typing that made me feel dirty. And not in the good way!
Alas, the Giants were unable to complete the sweep of the Dodgers. Taking two out of three was pretty awesome though. Unhappy flight home, but our boys have the day off tomorrow before the home opener at the best ballpark in the MLB, our beloved AT&T Park. I can't wait to be back there, cheering our guys on in person with some amazing friends! <3

SFGiants Game 4
My truck is at the auto repair shop, so I'm working from home today. I generally get a lot of work done while I'm at home but it is a bonus to be able to watch the game on my TV while doing conference calls and sending e-mails.
Game 4 Summary
- In the pre-game, Bill Laskey, Vida Blue, and Greg Papa were talking about which player has the most swag. It was pretty hilarious. It's like when older people talk about selfies or twerking. Please stop. Stop please.
- Brandon Belt his his 3rd home run in four games. Happy for him. People give him so much shit, so I hope he can stay hot at the plate.
- Paul fucking Goldshit. Why don't they just intentionally walk that guy? Every time. Especially if he's facing Lincecum. How unreal is it that he has SIX home runs in TWENTY ONE at bats? As our favorite commentators say, that is pure OWNAGE. Goldschmidt is 11-26 against Timmy with 13 RBIs. That needs to stop. It's painful just thinking about it.
- Lincecum needs to shave that monstrosity from his face. It was cute in the "aww, baby face is trying to grow a manly mustache" way for a little bit, but it's got to go. It's worse than Barry Zito's weird porn stache from a couple seasons ago.
Speaking of, I miss Zito...#RallyZito forever <3
- If I played the "take a drink every time Kruk & Kuip say 'shadows'", I would have been drunk by the 3rd inning.
- In the bottom of the 3rd, Timmy didn't get Goldshit out, but in trying to stretch a single into a double, Goldschmidt was out by a mile. That counts for something, right?
- At the top of the 4th with Pablo Sandoval on 2nd, Hunter Pence finally got his first hit of the season. Hooray! I like to think that's the face he wanted to make when it happened, but he's too cool to celebrate that hard over a single.
- Side note: One of the other reasons why I love baseball so much is because you can have it on in the background while multi-tasking, or in my case concentrating pretty hard on work, and it's like a nice throw blanket comforting you even if you're not paying attention 100%.
- I was not pleased when Mark Trumbo hit a 2-run home run off of Timmy in the bottom of the 6th. Secretly, my first thought was "yay, fantasy points" and then I was pissed. This is why fantasy sports suck sometimes. You feel bipolar about things like that because it's good for fantasy, but bad for life. 100% of the time, the Giants are far more important that fantasy baseball. At least for me.
- Nice to see Brandon Hicks come in the game as a pinch hitter, and then hit a home run at the top of the 7th! Proud of him.
- I'm sometimes mean to Hacktor, err Hector Sanchez, but that *almost* home run in the top of the 8th was pretty awesome. It was also fun to see Pence running with reckless abandon. I love him so much. Michael Morse came through with a two out RBI single to tie the game after Buster Posey came in as a pinch hitter and was intentionally walked. Then our Angel with the heavenly hair hit a 3-run home run. It was Pagan's first home run of the season. FIVE RUNS in the 8th. It's still early, but I like what I'm seeing from our offense. And their hair.
So excited they won this series, great way to start the season! Pagan is sexy. Sorry, couldn't help myself. Work phone calls, phone calls from the auto repair shop, and all kinds of emails stressed me out. Signing off to meet up with friends for a Captain America 1 and 2 double feature.

SFGiants Game 2
Hey y'all. Game two of our young baseball season was off to a much better start, and then it crumbled miserably. But first, let's talk about me ;) I work about 15 miles away from home and it was a fucking scary drive on 680. It was raining so hard that I could barely see more than five yards in front of me. Happy I survived!
Moving on...the top of the 1st inning was awesome. Buster Posey's RBI single was followed by a strike out by Michael Morse. Brandon Belt's 3-run home run took the heat off of Hunter Pence and Morse's unproductive outs. Ironic that I said yesterday that I was worried about Belt offensively. I hope he can keep this up. Not so much the power hitting, but at the very least, consistency at the plate. Please please please? Bottom of the first...not as much fun. Can't believe Matt Cain gave them two runs back. I blame Goldshit. Cain did a good job getting a grounder for the double play. I was a little nervous our defense wouldn't turn it, but I'm starting to gain confidence in our guys, especially after seeing Brandon Crawford and Belt's nice plays in the 2nd.
The bottom of the 4th inning was so frustrating. I was swearing at my TV a lot. The umpires had about 1,000,000 missed calls that half inning. Ok, maybe just four. First, they missed the call on the pick-off attempt. Belt tagged him out. Bruce Bochy challenged the play and they took FOREVER to uphold the original call - second mistake. Third, was that *really* a passed ball on Posey? Further, Cain DEFINITELY tagged A.J. Pollock out at the plate - fourth mistake. But of course, Boch couldn't challenge because of mistake number two. Already not a fan of replay since the Diamondbscks were gifted that run. On the other hand, I applaud our skipper for challenging that close play. So far, he's already better than Jim Harbaugh with challenges. [insert Harbaugh facepalm]
Quick break to discuss what I had for dinner tonight. And yes, I'll probably discuss this every day so get used to it. I had the vegetable biryani with vegetable dumplings from Trader Joe's for dinner. It was delicious, but only because I added some chicken cooked in masala sauce. I'm convinced that if I don't have protein with my dinner, I'll be hungry again later, hence the chicken. It was really tasty, I suggest you try it. Back to baseball now...
I was not happy when the D'Backs took the lead at the bottom of the 6th. Juan Guttieriez was unimpressive. Goes to show that anyone with that last name is not good for the Giants. Please bring back Hottie McHots. I mean, Heath Hembree <3 Or that Greek god with the nice man ass, our very own George Kontos. On a more serious note, I can't wait to have Jeremy Affeldt back. I love him as a person, such a caring man with a great personality, and while I don't believe as strongly as he does, I applaud the strength of his faith. The Giants sorely need him in the bullpen.
In summary, that was a rough game. Trying to pinpoint the major issue and I'm going to go with the offense. After that 4-run 1st inning, the bats went dead. Wade Miley (I came in like a wrecking ballllllllll) shut them down. It was very disappointing.
Our bullpen needs to improve...and do so quickly! Two down, 160 to go. At this rate, I'm probably going to age 10 years by the season's end. Win, lose, or torture I love these guys.

SFGiants Game 1
Random musings from tonight's game:
- Day 1 and I'm already annoyed with our in game reporter that shall remain nameless [insert horse neighing noises].
- My dinner of mahi mahi with cous cous and mashed vegetables was so good...good. Too bad I didn't take a picture to post on Instagram. Just kidding, I don't do that shit!
- Brandon Belt's pop-up dance in the 1st cracked me up. I'll definitely be watching that gif a few times.
- The Giants have some pretty glorious hair. Angel Pagan, Brandon Crawford, Michael Morse...they make long hair sexy. And I don't even like long hair. Anymore. I did go through that weird phase at UCSC though. Good times.
- Furthermore, from a female's perspective, how lucky are we to have so many handsome ballplayers to root for? Seriously, there are so many attractive men on the team. BONUS! Excuse me, I need a cold shower...
- Hunter Pence's kale fueled throw in the 3rd inning to gun out Mark Trumbo at third made me so happy. I love Pence so much, have I mentioned that yet?
- The back to back errors in the 4th were pretty rough. I suggested that MadBum aim his snotrockets at Belt and Pablo Sandoval when that inning was over. The Giants defense overall in this game was awful. I know it's game 1, but they need to work out those kinks ASAP.
- It was great to see the offense step up late in the game. HR from Belt and Pagan getting some RBIs was nice to see. Even seeing Pence's patience at the plate with the bases loaded to walk in the tying run was a ray of light for this often frustrating offense.
- I was so annoyed when I kept seeing Belt bumbling around on defense. Truth is, I'll forgive that if he can be consistent at the plate. He shouldn't have made those errors, but I think he'll be just fine. I'm more worried about his offense.
- Forgot about Shawn Estes when making My Favorite Giants list earlier. My dad was a little concerned about how much I loved him in high school. He bought me an Estes shirt nonetheless. Awesome dad. Estes was my favorite lefty back then.
- Noah Lowry <3 That is all. Excuse me, I need another cold shower.
- I will always think "Goldshit" whenever I hear or see Goldschmidt. Mostly because I'm as mature as a 5-year old when it comes to things like that. Also because he's a Giants killer and I will never like him.
- I took a break mid-game to watch the finale of HIMYM. Didn't miss too much of the game because I was following along on the MLB app and the Giants were in the midst of their shit show. Tuned back in an hour later to see them rally back. That episode of How I Met Your Mother though </3 Not at all what I expected and still unsure how I feel about it. I'll probably watch it again tomorrow.
- Posey's 2-run home run with two outs in the 9th off of Addison Reed was a thing of beauty, wasn't it? I changed into one of my Posey shirts midway through the 7th. I like to think that it brought him some good vibes. That's how baseball works, right?
- Learned my lesson when I lost a shit ton of typed out bullet points that I should save more often. Rookie mistake. DERP.
I like seeing Randy Winn on the post-game show. I have his bobble head! Glad he's still part of the Giants family. Last but not least, it was fun live tweeting with the best fans in baseball. So clever, so sarcastic, and so wonderful. 161 more games, friends and fans. I'll probably overreact and swear about 1,000,000 more times by the end of the season.
